Responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospective donors to benefit & promote HOPE Foundation for Women and Children.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to solicit and cultivate major/planned gifts
• Good professional judgment and decisiveness to inspire confidence among prospects and donors
• Strong Communication skills (written, oral, and listening)
• Strong track record of good relationship management with donors and colleagues.
• Available to work evenings and able to travel.
• Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage complex responsibilities and make sound judgment
• Ability to plan and execute fundraising activities
• Knowledge of all charitable gift planning vehicles, including how to determine the appropriate vehicles for specific prospects.
• Ability to gauge when the donor would be open to a blended gift comprised of a major gift and a planned gift to maximize the potential of the donor to give to the Foundation.
• Affinity with the overall mission of HOPE Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh.
• Demonstrate initiative, attitude, and personally to work effectively with the founder of the organization, staff, volunteers, and constituents.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Ability to be an ambassador for the Foundation
• Developing project proposals

Job Specific Duties

• Identify, qualify, and solicit planned giving prospects by matching Foundation's fundraising priorities with prospective donors' interest.
• Work with the President/CEO to assist in the development and management of a proactive planned giving marketing program.
• Develop written solicitation strategies and proposals; purposefully guide donors to make major investments. Develop relationships to maximize their giving potential over time.
• Maintain a regular schedule of visitations to individuals, corporations, and other entities. Make an assigned number of discovery/prospecting calls to potential donors to determine the capacity and the propensity for giving.
• Work with President/CEO to expand the pool of trust with whom the Foundation works to broaden the donor prospect pool.
• Responsible for good understanding of investments and tax law as it applies to planned gifts.
• Coordinate cultivation activities and solicitations with Foundation colleagues, staff and volunteers
• Maintain proficiency in charitable giving methods
• Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans for the Foundation's Development.
• Attend events as Foundation representation for networking purposes, etc
• Develop necessary marketing materials
• Update and upgrade social media content, website
• Cultivate existing donors relations through emails, mailing, phone calls and P2P/B2B meetings as needed
• Set and meet annual fundraising goals
