Including hosting distinct trees from all 50 states - The Columbia Children's Arboretum has a unique character and history, be a part of shaping its future! Join us and our friends at Portland Parks & Rec. in our work to continue restoration on this unique property. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in invasive plant removal and native plant planting!
This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. Registration is requested.
Parking:Volunteers should park and enter from NE 6th Dr. (the address of the park, 10040 NE 6th Dr). Follow the event signs to the meet up spot.
Notes on accessibility: The site is about an 8 minute walk from the parking area. The site itself is wooded and uneven with woody debris. There is no restroom on site, but there will be a portable restroom available for use.
This is a great group volunteering opportunity! The Columbia Slough Watershed Council is happy to help your company or organization schedule your next employee community service day.
