Food Bank For New York

You can provide vital help to us at our highest need project by sorting donated and bulk items into boxes of specific categories and weights at our Food Distribution Center. Boxes are then shipped directly to our network food pantries and community kitchens throughout the five boroughs.

This program is designed for groups of 20 to 50 volunteers. If you are looking to volunteer for a Repack as an individual or a group smaller than 20 volunteers, please refer to our Weekend Repack dates OR our daily shifts at our Community Kitchen and Pantry.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Volunteers MUST be 14 or older.
  • 1 adult chaperone is required for every 5 youth volunteers (16-18 years old).
  • This program has a minimum of 20 volunteers.
  • Closed toed shoes are required.
  • Please refrain from wearing jewelry, except for wedding bands.
  • There is a $3 fee for car parking and an $8 fee for bus parking

    Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 03:30 PM
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
