This volunteer position assists the Administrative Support Coordinator in providing general administrative support for a chapter or satellite office within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Administrative Support Coordinator, the Front Desk Receptionist Volunteer will provide general administrative support within assigned location to include:
- Greet persons entering the local unit, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destination
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries
- Check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations
- Provide information about the local unit, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided
- Answer telephone calls and take messages or forward calls to appropriate department or individual
- Copy, file, and maintain paper or electronic documents and records
- Perform various administrative support tasks
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly, excellent analytical, communication and computer skills
- Good decision-making ability
- Ability to teach others
- Team player
- Valid Texas Drivers license
Time Commitment: Shifts available, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
