Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers (18+ years old) in the Rocklin area to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes and care facilities. We serve families in the Placer area including Yolo, Yuba, El Dorado and Sacramento Counties.

The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.

As a volunteer, you can choose between many opportunities: the gift of companionship, emotional support to the patient and the family, respite for the caregiver, listening to or playing music, reading, bringing a trained dog for comfort, or birthday celebrations. Volunteers are assigned at least one or more patients to visit patients on a weekly basis. Visits are usually around a hour and bring such joy and comfort to a hospice patient.

Volunteers are trained in their role with patients. We are required to conduct background checks, a physical and TB test, at no charge to volunteers. No drug testing required

Please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Pang Fang at 916-928-0102 or email PFang@suncrestcare.com for more information.
