In keeping with our mission: To reduce the injuries and deaths resulting from domestic violence. We work with local agencies to provide comprehensive coordinated services to victims of domestic violence and educational programs for our community.
This is an educational 12 week program for our community. We will be providing parenting classes which will begin Monday, January 14, 2018 from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. We need your help for 1 hour. We will provide the juice boxes and snacks. Your job will be to supervise these precious children while their parents are learning to parent intentionally with skill.
The ages will be 12 and under. Parents will be learning the following:
- Build a solid foundation
- Remove stumbling blocks
- Childhood development
- Manage stress & anger
- Set limits & enforce positive discipline
- Communication
- Healthy relationships

Description
The Family Justice Center is the principal provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in both Georgetown and Horry Counties, South Carolina serving over 850 people annually. We provide victims of domestic abuse and their families with comprehensive support and resources including access to a 24 hour crisis hotline, individual and group counseling, case management, legal advocacy and emergency shelter. We also offer public awareness and educational programs in our efforts to create a community with zero tolerance for domestic violence.
