Supports the PHP program and works with others in an effort to accomplish the goals of the department. provides phone coverage for the program which includes routing calls to appropriate staff, transferring calls and making referrals to other programs within the health department as well as community agencies. Other duties include preparing letters; meeting notices and minutes. Assist the PHP staff with training set up and demobilization, assembling materials. Assist PHP staff with updating stakeholders database and contact information. And other administrative support to the PHP Program.

Description
The Department of Health- Palm Beach was established in 1948. It was created to promote and protect public health. It is the largest public health department in the United States.
Many services are required in order to prevent or control disease and to promote health. We monitor the air you breathe, the water you drink, and provide medical services and vaccines. Volunteers including physicians and nurses, work in several clinical and administrative sites located throughout the county.
Auxiliary groups sponsor each clinic and work on special projects to enhance the lives of our clients. they run our food and clothing pantries, recruit donations and help with special events and health fairs.
Our health centers are in need of health care providers who will volunteer their time to help the under served population of our community.
