Starting near the end of January, our "Alley Activation Project" will move into phase 2 with the Prairie Street Block club which includes community planning and strategy meetings. We are now looking for local outdoor artist/painters to work with residents to have their art featured in our pilot project. This pilot project assists community block clubs in redesigning the residential alleyways into internal neighborhood greenways. Artist will paint the garages, wooden fences and the grounds of the homeowner's property that will participate in our project. Our project aims to create an internal greenway that supports walkability and mobility while reintroducing art, history, and technology to the community. This project looks to partner local artist with residents that are looking for local artists to tells the history of the community and also helps to inspire future generations. Art installs will begin in May/June/July of 2019.
