The Development Coordinator will primarily be responsible for identifying, designing and implementing fundraising strategies for Migration Resource Center (MRC), including drafting grant applications, identifying corporate partners and soliciting private donors. The Coordinator will work closely with the Grant Writing Manager (remote) to research, write and prepare grant applications and work independently to identify potential donors in the Staten Island/New York area. The funds from grants and donations will be used to provide legal representation to immigrants such as detainees, asylees and victims of domestic violence, to develop MRC's educational programs and for general operating support.

No prior development experience required, however we do ask that you have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to serving low-income immigrants
  • Able to commit 5-10+ hours/week for at least 6 months

Migration Resource Center was founded in October 2015 to provide a comprehensive range of immigration services, youth education, and legal tax representation. Migration Resource Center was granted 501(c)(3) designation, effective October 8, 2015.

We help individuals, families and businesses get the legal services and information they need to succeed in their communities.
