Community Based Mentoring | Colorado Springs CO
Community Based Mentoring : Volunteers are matched with a child to be that kiddo's mentor and friend. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the child two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the mentors and the match relationship, providing assistance, counsel and guidance.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to pass an extensive background check. There is also an thorough interview portion within the enrollment process.
This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for.
Right now, BBBS Pikes Peak is in need of men to volunteer and enroll as a positive role models to children in our community. We continually receive inquiries, applications and referrals for young boys who do not have a positive adult male in their life. If you have interest in making a lasting impact on the life and future of a youth in our community, please reach out to us through this posting.
