Adult Literacy Program at Butler County Community College
***PA residents only. The BC3 Adult Education Consortium is recruiting volunteer online tutors to assist students in our Adult Education Program. Our free, state-funded classes help adults in Butler, Lawrence and Mercer County, PA earn their GED or improve their skills in reading and math. We also work with a significant number of recent immigrants to help them increase their English ability. Volunteer tutors provide supplemental instruction that complements what students learn in class. Online tutors can volunteer from anywhere and no experience is required. All materials and training are provided. Tutors should have at least a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in college. Contact: Ben Getkin, 724-287-8711 x8800.
