Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 4 people are interested

Our church’s community service project is a 68-bed community garden open to all. Each elevated bed is approx. 4 ft by 8 ft. and separately watered from a nearby pond. We encourage no artificial fertilizers, insecticides, or herbicides. We could use about 3 volunteers to help with weeding and other chores about 1 hour per week. We would gladly offer a complimentary garden bed for your efforts. Respond to for more details.

Mission Statement

Inspired by love, we transform ourselves and serve others.

Our congregation will grow each year because we attract families and friends by offering rich and varied opportunities for creating community and for ethical and spiritual development; providing a space which meets our present and future needs; welcoming and reflecting the diversity of our region; and expanding our social and environmental justice and outreach initiatives.

We Unitarian Universalists affirm and promote -

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
  • Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
