Role of Children Active Arts Assistant:
The Children Active Arts Assistant provides children and families the opportunity to expand and express their creativity by producing interactive individual and group arts, crafts and game activities. This role will also help supervise and facilitate activities to provide guests with a fun and positive experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and data track Children Active Arts files.Help plan, organize and oversee varied activities.
At all times, ensure safety, structure, and learning.
Provide the necessary set-up and clean-up of materials.
Ensure that age-appropriate activities are implemented.
May help parents register their children, document allergies, and pass out snacks.
Brainstorm concepts or creative ideas and suggest innovative ways to engage youth.
May assist children and parents with projects and participate in and/ or lead activities.
Work with Children Active Arts Volunteer(s) to select and utilize different materials such as ceramics, glass, paper, textiles, wood, metal, etc. for projects based on planned activities.
Interact with parents and keep open lines of communication to better understand and manage the children.
