Do you enjoy working with people and sharing your love of nature? Our Hosts serve as the Nature Center's front line representatives. They welcome our visitors, provide information, and enjoy helping guests learn more about our Nature Centers. This is a rewarding job for someone who likes to be helpful and learn more about the natural environment!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Learn about our program offerings and park resources.
2. Greet visitors.
3. Answer visitor inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff.
4. Take messages for staff.
5. Answer telephone calls.
6. Occasionally help with office administrative work, computer work, and program/exhibit preparation.
7. Check people in for programs.
Volunteers Hosts are needed:
Either Weekdays and/or Weekends for one 3 hour shift.

Description
Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
