Role of Volunteer Coordinator:

The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit and oversee Tier I and Tier II volunteers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers.
  • Ensure SQS is staffed with reliable individuals to help fulfill the mission.
  • Host and attend events within the community to attract qualified candidates.
  • Assess and meet SQS’s needs for recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely documentation of volunteer participation.
  • Maintain SQS’s volunteer recruitment websites - Solano Community College Career Center, Solano Community College Occupational Education, Solano Volunteers, and Volunteer Match
  • May assist Community Outreach Coordinator by conducting and/or arranging volunteer orientations and training.
  • Promote volunteering opportunities (internally and externally) through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns
