The Northwest African American Museum hosts Black Santa!
It's an opportunities for families to explore the museum, take pictures with Santa and enjoy family activities. This event brings several hundred families through our doors; many families who are visiting NAAM for the first time!
This is a great group volunteer activity, including corporate or small businesses looking for a fun way to give back during the holiday season.
Santa's Village Elves help waiting families with arts and crafts, keeping the room tidy and art supplies plentiful while waiting for pictures with the Big Guy!
You can volunteer for the full shift of 11am to 5pm, or you can volunteer for a partial shift of 11am to 2pm or 2pm to 5pm, based on your availability.

Description
What does it mean to be African American in the Pacific Northwest? It is a beautiful range of colors and hues -- a diversity of experiences and locations. African Americans come from a variety of countries of origin, both known and unknown representing an assortment of religions, a staggering array of occupations, a multitude of co-workers, neighbors, friends and families, and an ever evolving community that continues to shape and reshape the human experience in the Pacific Northwest region. The Northwest African American Museum invites you to explore this continually changing story, for it is yours, it is mine, it is all of ours.
