The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh believes that our community’s history and culture is important and worth preserving!
The library’s newly created REcollection Studio is our commitment to preserve our neighborhoods’ diverse voices, knowledge, and history. The public digitization studio provides specialized hardware and software to transfer analog material (photographs, slides, VHS tapes, documents, etc.) into digital formats.
Volunteers are needed to act as supervisors in the studio who provide basic assistance to library patrons scanning or digitizing their documents. Previous experience is not required, but volunteer should have a basic comfort level with computers before starting volunteer training.
Twice-Monthly (every other week) shifts are available at the following times:
Tuesdays - 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Saturdays - 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Saturdays - 1:00 - 3:30 pm
