Union Health Center is currently looking for a volunteer Electronic Medical Records Scanner personnel. The designee will be tasked with scanning paper medical documents into the electronic health record system. The presence or absence of medical documentation in the patient’s electronic health record (EHR) directly affects the level of clinical treatment and services our Doctor’s and Specialist can provider to Union Health Center patients. The designee should be organized, professional, and flexible to undertake a variety of miscellaneous duties.
This position includes but is not limited to the following:
- Sorting through miscellaneous paper medical record documents received daily and scanning into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR).
- Follow established scanning guidelines to ensure documents are entered in the EHR system in a timely manner.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of scanned document images to assure accuracy and legibility.
- Communicate with administrative and medical staff regarding medical documentation.
- Contact partnering health facilities to obtain additional clinical documentation/reports.
