Docents bring our exhibits to life by engaging with visitors, asking and answering questions. If you are a people-person who enjoys sharing your love of art, bonsai, &/or teaching, apply to become a Docent at Pacific Bonsai Museum.
Training is available, so don’t worry if you aren’t a bonsai expert just yet!

ABOUT THE PACIFIC BONSAI MUSEUM
The Pacific Bonsai Museum connects people to nature through the living art of bonsai. Fifty of the Museum’s 150 bonsai are displayed at any given time in an outdoor fine art museum setting in the open air of a large forest in Federal Way, Washington. The Museum is poised at the forefront of an evolving art form that is transforming in a uniquely American fashion. Approximately 35,000 people from across the globe visit the museum each year, with visitorship growing as people discover this gem of the Pacific Northwest. Admission by donation.

Nestled amidst towering conifers, Pacific Bonsai Museum connects people to nature through the living art of bonsai. A grand outdoor setting with the elegance of a fine art museum, the Museum boasts over 150 bonsai and the most diverse public collection in North America with trees from Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the United States. Featuring sixty trees at a time and open to the public six days a week, this cultural gem offers contemporary and traditional exhibitions, group tours, and education.
