The Winnebago Community Market is seeking volunteers to help with the set-up of the food pantry at Northern Illinois Food Bank's Northwest Center in Rockford. Volunteers will assist in moving/setting up tables, food racking, and food displays.
All volunteers interested must be able to lift at least 10 lbs. Any youth under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Volunteers will be led by the Winnebago Community Market Supervisor.
Closed-toed shoes (sneakers or work boots) are required. Long shorts or pants and a t-shirt or sweatshirt are recommended. Volunteers wearing open-toed shoes will not be allowed in the warehouse and may be asked to leave.
