The Surgery Center for FGM is the nation's first and only non-profit center for treatment of FGM. Our efforts are funded completely by donations and grants which allow us to provide our services at no cost to the patient. The Surgery Center for FGM needs a professional fundraiser who organizes events and campaigns to raise money and other donations for our organization. They may design promotional materials and increase awareness of an organization’s work, goals, and financial needs. Professional Fundraisers Job Description Research prospective donors. Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors. Conduct fundraising strategies for an organization. Identify and contact potential donors. Organize a campaign or event that will lead to soliciting donations. Maintain records of donor information for future use. Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events. Train volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices. There will also be some administrative tasks involved. Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied. Must have great communication, leadership, and organizational skills, Must be detail oriented. Fundraisers are responsible for raising money and other donations for an organization. To accomplish these goals, fundraisers generally plan and oversee campaigns and events. They ensure that campaigns are effective by researching potential donors ahead of time and examining records of those who have given in the past. To provide free reconstruction surgery and psychological counseling for victims of female genital mutilation without regards to race, religion or residence.

Description

We are a non-profit multi-disciplinary Center in the United States devoted solely to patients of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) or "female cutting". Our services are free for all FGM victims.

We specialize in reversal of FGM by reconstructing the genitalia surgically. Our Center also offers psychological counselling and educational training for medical personnel.
The Surgery Center for FGM is the nation's first and only non=profit center for the treatment of FGM. Our efforts are funded completely by donations and grants which allow us to provide our services at no cost to the patient.

We have been able to make a life changing differences in the victim’s lives after undergoing the reconstructive surgery. We've been told that they the phrase that they feel whole again and being told that they look normal now by their established ob-gyn.
