Do you have a passion for technology and STEM learning? Want to help the next generation get excited about their future? Then Code Ladder's Mentorship Program is for you!

This opportunity is for our partnership with Brentwood Boys & Girls Club. Mentors in this program will need to commit to leading a group of 10 students ages 9-14 through code.org's self-paced lessons and "unplugged" activities. Volunteers need to commit to 6 one hour meetings between June 12 and August 9th, specific dates and times can be adjusted to meet your schedule. Meeting times need to be between 9 AM and 11 AM or 1 PM to 4 PM, you are able to pick an hour during these times that fit your schedule.

As a Mentor you'll encourage perseverance and collaboration, show students they can use STEM skills in all areas of life, and help them overcome stereotypes to realize they are capable of anything.

NO coding or programming knowledge is required, we provide all the training and support you need.

Code Ladder is a non-profit dedicated to giving every student the opportunity to learn to code; we work with RTP organizations like The Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and more to provide under-served K - 12th grade students free coding classes. Email Sara Teristi at sara@codeladder.org to find out more about our Mentorship Program or other volunteer opportunities, or check out our website www.codeladder.org. Together we can make a positive impact in our community and bring STEM learning to students who might not have access without your help.
