Are you great with kids and interested in making a difference in their lives by being a positive and influential role model? Then EVE (End Violent Encounters) has a position for you!

Seeking 3-4 people to help assist with our Children's Program on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Duties Include:

• Assist with the childcare program (at least one night per week but prefer two nights if possible)
• Create, plan, implement and facilitate a children’s activity group such as, movie night, art projects, etc.
• Be a positive role model
• Provide educational and other resources as needed.
• Assist with mentoring activities including tutoring, healthy relationship and moral judgement
• Help maintain children’s play area.
• Create an environment that is secure, stable and safe by providing routine and structure for the children.

Requirements for the Position:

• Punctuality, flexibility, and ability to work with some degree of independence.
• Desire to work with a diverse population of children and youth of various ages.
• Knowledge of domestic violence/ and or crisis intervention is helpful.
• Experience with children is helpful.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Respect for diversity and confidentiality.
