Seeking volunteers that are compassionate and caring.
Do you have a desire to serve others? Working with individuals at the end of life can be a rewarding experience. Come join a great team and make a difference in someone's life!
Kindred-Hospice Illinois formally Avalon is in great need of Volunteers who are interested in visiting with Hospice patients and/or providing administrative support.
Support Services may include:
- Visiting patients at home, assisted living or skilled nursing facilities
- Providing companionship and a listening ear
- Reading a story
- Painting nails or brushing hair
- Giving a hug or playing cards
- Providing relief for a few hours while the family rests or runs errands
- Delivering supplies
- Office/Clerical Support
We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:
- North/South side of Chicago
- Berwyn/Cicero/Riverside
- Oak Park/Lagrange
- Bridgeview/Maywood
- Elmwood Park/Northlake/Melrose Park
