Purpose: The Volunteer Receptionist helps set the tone to ensure a welcoming and positive experience for participants, guests and staff. This is a customer service position, with responsibilities that include greeting visitors, answering multi-line phones, receiving deliveries, and helping with other miscellaneous tasks.

Duties:Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate staff; answer phone calls in a timely and polite manner; manage interactions with professionalism, including boundaries and confidentiality of participants and staff.

Expectations: All volunteers are expected to stay within the boundaries of their job, maintain participant confidentiality, and abide by the policies stated in the volunteer handbook. Ability to interact with diverse populations.

Training: Filing, faxing, copying and safety training to be provided by JFCS Administrative Professionals Team.
