Help create fun for a party for children with cancer. Arrange and set up tables, activities, games and food for a party for 200 children.. At the Fountain of Life Event Center, 710 S Kolb Rd. Friday Dec 13th set up before party. Saturday Dec 14 from 9am to 4pm shifts are available throughout the day.

Candlelighters supports, serves and advocates for children and adolescents with cancer and other blood disorders, their families, long term survivors, bereaved families, and the professionals that care for them.

*Link child to child, parent to parent, family to family, group to group

*Ease frustration and fears through shared emotions and experience

*Exchange information on research, treatment and community resources

*Break down the social and isolation of families

*Provide guidance in coping with childhood cancer's effect on a child, parent, siblings, and family

*Identify patient and family needs so that medical and social systems respond adequately

*Are an emotional support system of second families

Candlelighters is a voice in our community for pediatric cancer families and survivors to the general public, the medical community, government, schools, employers and the media.
