Hi Volunteers!
On Jan. 19th the MLK Day of Service, join California Greenworks to cleanup Hyde Park Blvd!
Having been plagued by illegal dumping and lack of tree canopy for years, this cleanup event is part of California Greenworks' ongoing efforts to restore and improve the conditions of Hyde Park Blvd and its surrounding communities. By coming out and cleaning up with us, you will help raise awareness, improve the sanitation condition of the neighborhood, and build resilient & healthy communities.
We will provide water, snacks, tools, and equipment. Just show up with comfy clothes & shoes and good spirits!

Our mission is to provide environmental educational opportunities to urban schools, revitalize urban open spaces, streams, parkways and advocate for green economic development.
Description
California Greenworks Incorporated is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization formed to promote environmental protection, community revitalization and economic development throughout southern California urban communities. We are a environmental justice group who provides on the ground improvements in urban communities. Our primary focus is on raising an environmental awareness to urban underserved communities of color here in South Los Angeles through a variety of environmental educational awareness programs and projects activities.
We work with local officials, public agencies, school districts, community groups, businesses, and other non-profits to educate urban communities on the importance of environmental protection and conservation, advocate open space, promote sustainable designs, and reduce urban blight. Our work further seeks to focuses on social entrepreneurial efforts to spur economic development within urban centers by advocating for green jobs opportunities.
