Bay Area Girls Rock Camp

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Bay Area Girls Rock Camp!

Our Girls Rock After School Program (GRASP) serves self-identified girls, trans, and/or gender non-conforming youth ages 8-18 with instrument lessons, band practice, and music/empowerment workshops. We are looking for self-identified women, trans, and/or gender non-conforming adults ages 19+ to be Band Managers or Band Coaches to youth bands (2-6 youth). We hope for our youth to see themselves reflected in their mentors in this program. That is the reasoning behind gender-based mentorship in our program. We provide training! Band Coaches are volunteers with experience playing music and setting up equipment. Band Managers require no musical experience and youth work experience is recommended but not required.

Interested? Questions? Feel free to email pei@bayareagirlsrockcamp.org or call 510-267-1808. We look forward to hearing from you!
