Summary: Volunteer to sort and separate gift cards and gifts for our clients
Description: The following is an overview of the tasks that we hope to accomplish with your help.

  • Gift Card (GC) Sorting
  • GC Separation- (for cards attached to a red tag or receipt)
  • GC data entry (once GC are removed from red tags)
  • GC Tally
    • Sorting by entity (Fred Meyer, Walmart, Safeway, QFC, Target, or Gas Card
    • Sorting by denomination

Determining and assigning value for cards that have no monetary value notated or not attached to a red tag and/or receipt.

Lunch and snacks provided.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Description

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.

Our services, and volunteer opportunities, are located at multiple sites throughout King County.
