In partnership with the City of Norwalk, the CIRCLE 3.0 Project will be planting 200 public trees in Norwalk. Trees planted as part of this program are selected for their strong ability to reduce air pollution and provide shade. Please come out to your city's Arbor Day and plant some trees!

WHEN: Saturday January 26th, 2019 at 9am

WHERE: We'll start & canvas in the neighborhoods around Lakeside Park!

WHAT: We’re canvassing for 100 trees to beautify our community and reap the many benefits trees have to offer.

WHY: When our 200 trees are mature, they’ll remove 6.4 tons of CO 2 and 1,500 lbs of pollutants every year!

HOW: Bring friends and a water bottle. Carpooling is encouraged!

Description

The California Urban Forests Council (CaUFC) was founded in 1968 as the first urban forest council in the nation. We are professionals associated with municipalities and public works, urban planning and design, arboriculture and the nursery industry, and community-based and public health organizations. We support seven Regional Councils across California that act as the backbone of our organizations. Together, as a coalition, we are dedicated to the expansion and perpetuation of sustainable urban and community forests to enhance the quality of life for all Californians.
