Volunteer Intake/Data Specialist

There will be minimal verbal contact with patients.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist Intake Specialist in processing applications for The Lighthouse services
• Review initial application for completeness
• Enter all pertinent application information into data base
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all levels

Required Skills or Abilities:

• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion, and

decision making in order to achieve organizational objectives

• Ability to represent The Lighthouse in the community with professionalism and integrity
• Skill in computer proficiency, including MS office applications, word processing, data bases, etc.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Must be proficient in MS office
• One year experience in related field a plus, but not required
• Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus, but not required Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Friendly staff members.
