Job Purpose:
Develop standardized methodology for monitoring and evaluation of AZSA projects and programs. Provide oversight for project and program planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Executive Director, Programs Manager, and Assistant Executive Director to create standardized methodologies for monitoring and evaluating AZSA projects and programs across our 8 priorities
- Identify ways to properly document, organize and capture project and program progress
- Create a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project and program activities. Implement monitoring systems and design monitoring tools
- Work with data platforms, databases and select technologies to capture and organize data. Develop data collection tools
- Train priority leaders in monitoring and evaluation processes and provide ongoing coaching
- Participate in and provide support to project and program design activities including development of project theories of change and strategic frameworks
- Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation plan
- Help determine performance and impact indicators and targets
- Provide support to proposal development for M&E component
- Monitor project activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
Ideal Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Information Management, Project Management, Engineering, Finance or other relevant academic background (essential), Master’s Degree (desirable)
- 3 to 5 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience
- Background in sustainability, specifically renewable energy, urban forestry, sustainable food systems, and sustainable business
- Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/performance monitoring plans.
- Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies
- Experience in survey design and implementation
- Experience developing and refining data collection tools
Time Commitment: Approximately 10-15 hours per week
