Come be the bridge to help impact teenagers lives by being apart of Bridge Builders. Volunteers help to carry out the weekly administration of this program by monitoring and mentoring teenagers 6 - 12th grades. This Tuesday ONLY after school program is FREE to students. Tuesdays are comprised of free food, fun through teamwork and recreation, friendship and relationship building, and leadership qualities developed through our sessions. Volunteers help to provide a safe environment for these activities to take place. Quality and Committed Volunteers have been at the helm of the success of this program and we need YOU! Bridge Builders has doubled in size since the Spring Semester. Help Us Be the Bridge!

Mission Statement
Bridge Builders Leadership Initiative is a faith-based, teen after school program for students in grades 6 - 12. The purpose of the program is to give students a safe and constructive after school atmosphere designed to promote positive change. The program seeks to go deeper than grades. The goal is to challenge students to look beyond academics and prepare for practical, life situations that happen inside as well as outside of the classroom. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall be: to build character and integrity. to improve relational, social, and communication skills. to encourage teamwork and sportsmanship. to develop a community service mentality. to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Description
Bridge Builders is a 501(C)3, Non-Profit Organization designed to teach students the skills they need in order to be effective leaders after they have completed their High School education. Most after school programs stops at 5 th grade and parents are not always able to pay for continued after school care. Bridge Builders hopes to be a solution to parents and our communities by not only continuing to offer this needed program to our communities for free, but to eventually expand from Tuesdays only to daily after school.
Bridge Builders gives students a safe and constructive after school atmosphere that will help develop, grow and shape them into model citizens. Young people’s involvement in such an initiative benefits the students individually, the schools, and the community as a whole. Bridge Builders Leadership Initiative is open to Middle and High School Students - Grades 6-12. The program is held on Tuesdays 3:30-6:00 p.m. at the Pearl Parks and Recreational building. In only our second semester in operation, we have enrolled almost 100 students and are poised to welcome a total of at least150 studentsweekly by the end of the school year !
