International Association for Blacks in Dance will be holding it's 31st Annual Conference and Festival in Dayton, Ohio in partnership with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, January 22-27, 2019. With approx. 700 attendees and guests expected to attend, we are in need of a large amount of volunteers to help the conference room smoothly and provide a welcoming atmosphere around the city.

Tickets for Onyx: Etched in Stone, Resilient Through Time, featuring 12 world-renowned companies, are still available for the 2:00pm performance at Victoria Theater, 138 North Main Street, Dayton, OH 45402. Student and group tickets are always 50% off the ticket price for DCDC performances.
The concert will feature top African-American contemporary dance companies: Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Phildanco! The Philadelphia Dance Company, Forces of Nature, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, Robert Moses' Kin, Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre and DCDC.

Dayton Contemporary Dance Company was founded in 1968 in Dayton, Ohio to create performance opportunities for dancers of color. Five decades later, it remains rooted in the African American experience, committed to the development of diverse movement artists on the global stage. DCDC has been on stages around the state, country and world. The culturally diverse company is dedicated to exceptional performance and quality community engagement, reaching more than 30,000 students annually through its education and outreach programs.
