Hospice Volunteers bring Care and Comfort!

Volunteers support patients and their families as they share their joys and griefs, enabling patients and loved ones to maintain their rhythm of life, living their days as fully as possible, while saying good-bye to the best of their ability.

Key functions of volunteers are to establish positive rapport with patients and family; treat patients and family with respect, be good listeners, advocates for seniors, preserve a patient's dignity, read to, sit with, play music with, and write letters or make phone calls for patients.

Medi-Plex Hospice is also seeking volunteers for in-office work not limited to filing, preparing mailing lists, creating crafts for hospice patients, and assisting with bereavement program.
