Be More Than A Volunteer With Encompass Hospice

Imagine providing Patient Support; being a Resource Coordinator, or even a Bereavement Assistant. These are some of the roles our volunteers have with Encompass Health Hospice.
Those in Patient Support spend time with our patients and or/caregivers, This could involve conversation, playing games, lending a hand around the home, organizing photos, or recording stories for the family to have for years to come.
A Resource Coordinator reaches out to caregivers to check on supplies and medications needed before the weekend. As calls are made, you record the needs on the correct form for that patient and turn in that form so one of the team members can fill that order.
A Bereavement Assistant, helps prepare the material we mail to those who have lost someone. We stay in touch with families for the first 13 months. With some additional training, it is possible to be available to be with families in the last hours of their loved one's life.
As a team member with Encompass Health Hospice, you can become an asset for our patients and their families. All we ask if for at least 4 hours of your time each month, you can always do more if you wish. In return, you will experience some of the most enriching and rewarding experiences of your life.
