New Horizons is a local non-profit with the mission to empower at-risk youth in grades K-12th to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith-building. New Horizons offers after school programs and summer camps to 600 at-risk students in Lee and Collier counties. With the help of community volunteers, the students are helped with their homework and mentored on a variety of life skills and growing in faith.
We would love to have you join us! No matter how long you reside in FL over the course of a year, you are welcome. Your commitment is one day a week for 1.5 hours. We understand that schedules change and if you must miss a few tutoring sessions, no problem. Volunteer opportunities are M-Th, 2-4pm (high school students) and 4-6pm (middle school students). Programs are offered at nine locations throughout Lee and Collier Counties. Visit us at www.newhorizonsofswfl.org for more information.
