Poppy Life Care is a United States non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is determined to educate and empower children and their parents struggling with children’s health issues related to spectrum disorders, development disorders, ADHD, anxiety and depression. Our goal is to facilitate awareness and education while building innovative care programs, which we hope to accomplish alongside our local communities, its businesses and people. We believe in helping each other as part of an ecosystem of local business, healthcare groups, academic institutions and professionals alike.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following projects that support PLCF efforts:
-Take big-picture assignments and fill in the blanks
-You will need to be someone who thinks outside of the box, are ridiculously organized, structured, detail orientated and take ownership of your work
-Stay on top of ever-changing priorities and projects
-Support the Executive Director and be the right hand for all operational initiatives
-Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations where necessary
-Drafting job descriptions and assisting in HR efforts
-Prepare and process correspondence & paperwork
-Maintain current files for all designated documents
This volunteer opportunity is good for recent graduates who have completed their degree, seeking more experience
This is also good for professional that would like to gain more experience in an agile startup environment. Or who just want to build up their professional portfolio.
Skills & Qualifications:
-Proficiency in handling multiple tasks and priorities
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Must possess superior organizational skills
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Experience in healthcare industry is a plus
-Computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook
Time Commitment Minimum:
Flexible, 10 - 30 hours per week. Hours may be scheduled during normal business hours (Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Occasional on-site weekend event support may be required. Applicants able to schedule the maximum hours/duration listed for the internship typically to gain a more in-depth experience.
