This Position will entail working on the upcoming event, Tribute to Marian Anderson Concert and the The Seven Last Words of Christ.
This is a Part time position and hours are from Monday-Sunday based on the availability of the Volunteer.
This is a Great Opportunity for a High School Student or College Student that needs arts education/events experience for their general community service hours or University Degree community service hours.( Arts management/education or performance majors would benefit greatly from working on this amazing arts project.
Qualifications : Current High School or Business Student, Music Education College Student(Vocal or Instrumental-piano). Music Business or Arts Management Required, outgoing personality, strong organizational skills,social media and marketing experience are preferred. Must be reliable, love working with the community, and have a passion for the performing arts.
General Duties: Assistant the Artistic Director and Board of Directors with program coordination and communications, including but not limited to receptionist duties, and managing emails, videographer, photographer, social media manager, lights, sound, rehearsal space.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Grace City Opera Theatre is to preserve, promote and perform the works of African American and African Descent Classical Composers. Further to keep the masterworks of African American and African Descent classical in the mainstream of classical music.
Description
In addition to preservation, performance and promotion of the African American and African Descent Classical composers. the opera theatre provides development, education and opportunities for performance. The opportunities are open to vocalists, instrumentalists, composers, writers, and directors to perform and present their work to the public at a professional level.
The Opera Company has an Artist development program, Music As A Healer program, Create An Opera, Opera Roots, Community Performance and Performances in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Schools.
