The Friends of Seniors Program at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, offers friendly visiting and assistance to seniors in our community through the generosity of volunteers. The goal of the program is to to help seniors maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in their primary residence and reduce the feelings of isolation by providing transportation assistance and friendly visiting.
The Friends of Seniors Links Project is a pilot program that builds on the legacy of FOS by expanding on the friendly visiting and linking seniors to services and programs through technology tools if seniors express an interest to learn. This intergenerational program bridges relationships between the young adults and the young at heart seniors in our community in an innovative way.
All services are provided free of charge to seniors.
