The Immigrant Connection at City Life Church is a nonprofit, public-interest immigration law office. Immigrant Connection provides direct immigration legal services to clients, focusing on family- and humanitarian-based immigration law.
Responsibilities of a Legal Intern typically include assisting with interviewing and assessing clients, conducting educational seminars for clients and community members, researching and drafting legal documents, and supporting program staff with pending cases and projects.
Qualifications: Conversational Spanish ability is preferred. Prior experience working with immigrant populations is preferred.

Located within the walls of City Life Church the Immigrant Connection strives to provide affordable legal services for the Grand Rapids community. City Life believes we are called to serve immigrants, "He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18. We want our services to ensure that every individual understands their basic human rights as well as their immigration legal options.
