Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center offers free addiction counseling services to the East Garfield Park community and other communities who are in need of a support system during their recovery. Above and Beyond has a wide variety of clients who are often under-served. This year, we are having our annual Toy Drive. The toys are donated to our clients who are not able to purchase gifts for their loved ones on Christmas. We are looking for volunteers to assist in the management of the donations and to tend to the needs of our clients in an organized way.
There are many ways to volunteer such as:
- Managing the checklist as our clients request gifts
- Ushering clients to either the Toy Drive or the Coat Drive rooms
- Sorting the toys in their appropriate categories
- Managing the art table for children who are interested in coloring, drawing, etc.
- Being Santa Claus or Elves
- Donating refreshments or treats
- Decorating the space
- Wrapping presents
Please contact me, Peyton Lucey via email plucey@anb.today for more information!
