Casa de Amistad is expanding its Study Companions Program! Come be a part of our program at Seacoast Community Church and make a difference in the local Encinitas community as a mentor and tutor for students from Ocean Knoll Elementary.
Volunteers are paired one-on-one with students in 2nd through 6th grades. You'll work with the same student throughout the academic year on homework and enrichment activities. Your role as a mentor and tutor can make a huge difference in the life of a young person. Our students come from economically disadvantaged families in Encinitas, and you can help give them the support they need to pursue educational opportunity and pave a path to success.
Volunteers will meet each week on either:
Wednesdays from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm OR
Mondays from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Description
Casa de Amistad is a tutoring and mentoring program in Solana Beach, California. Volunteers work with students in grades K-12. Most of the students who attend Casa de Amistad come from homes with a low socioeconomic status and where English is not the primary language. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for students to get help with their homework, read and have a positive mentor in their life.
