Recovery Team Member - Lucas County

Recovery Team Members support the disaster recovery of individuals, families and communities through the activities of casework, recovery planning, recovery systems and community recovery.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting client interviews
• Assess client qualifications for direct client assistance
• Use of Client Assistance System (CAS) 2.0 to document the assistance and services provided to the client
• Assist with recovery planning, problem solving and advocacy
• Learn about recovery activities and develop knowledge, skills, expertise in casework and recovery planning, systems and community recovery
• Provide client with information and referrals to community partners

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the American Red Cross
• Be kind, caring, resourceful and knowledgeable
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about community resource organizations
• Demonstrate the ability to work well in stressful situations
• Is team-oriented
• Has basic computer skills and is willing to learn CAS 2.0
• Treat people equitably and works effectively with diverse populations
• Is client focused
• Had the ability to set for 2-hour periods
