At Providence St Peter Hospital there are close to 300 volunteers dedicating 20,000 hours each year to help ease the way of patients and their families. There are a variety of ways to get involved. One way is by volunteering at the new Lullabies Gift Shop!

Lullabies Gift Shop will be the new mother and baby gift shop on the lower level of the hospital, next to the Family Birth Center. Waiting families and new parents will be able to shop for everything from clothing and stuffed animals for the baby to comfort and essential items for the new mom. Lullabies is expected to open in January 2019.

Lullabies volunteers provide customer service to visitors in the shop and stock and organize items as needed. Qualifications needed to be successful in this position include:

- Desire to help others
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Excellent time management and dependable
- Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds and able to lift objects from ground-level
- Cash handling, preferred

Volunteers can choose to volunteer one day a week, Monday through Friday, or every other week on Saturday and Sunday. Sessions are from 11am - 3pm.
