Volunteers can work with our teachers in one of eight classrooms across Alexandria. Read and engage in conversation with our kids. Support our teachers in every day activities.
- Morning volunteer: between 8:30AM - 10:30AM (M-F) - Engage in learning activities with students from reading to crafts and activities
- Naptime volunteer: between 11AM - 1PM (M-F) - Watch the children while they nap to give teachers time to eat lunch and work on lesson plans
-Afternoon volunteer: between 1:30PM - 3PM (M-F) - Engage in learning activities with students including reading, games, crafts, and other activities
- After school volunteer: between 3PM - 6PM (M-F) - Assist the after-school teacher with games, crafts, snacks, and other activities

Our mission is to provide caring, high-quality free education and related services to at-risk children and families in their own neighborhoods to prepare and empower them for success in school and life.
Description
We provide free and fully accredited preschool education for children living in poverty in Northern Virginia. We also provide free family support, literacy, job training, and health programs to the parents of our students, giving children what they need most: strong, capable families. Currently, we serve nearly 200 children and their families each year at six program sites throughout Alexandria and Arlington.
