Goal of Role
Assist staff in enriching the lives of children through day camp programming.
Tasks and Activities
- Assist instructor with monitoring and guiding children during projects
- Encourage children to participate in activities
- Role model the Y values of caring, honestly, respect and responsibility
- Specific duties may vary depending on the camp curriculum
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Welcoming, energetic and caring
- Loves children and has a desire to see them develop their potential
- Experience working with children is ideal
- Familiarity with Y Values and be able to communicate those to children
- Able to run, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time
Age Requirement
14 or older
Length of Commitment
Full 3 days of camp either mornings 9am to 1pm or afternoons 1pm to 5pm
Estimated hours/week or month
4-12/week
Scheduling
At specific times: Dec. 23, 26-27 from 9am -1pm or 1-5pm or all day if preferred
