Give a smile and lend a helping hand

When it is needed most, you can help make a meaningful and supportive difference in a patient's life, through the cancer peer support program. Your warmth and compassion can uplift the spirits of patients, through providing:

1:1 visitation and bedside social support

Hospitality (running errands, writing cards, reading to patients, playing games, etc.

Providing information to patients about hospital and community cancer services and resources

Escort patients to Radiation Oncology, Radiology appointments, or to the gift shop

Volunteers help lift the spirits of patients, families, friends and staff by providing hospitality, patient visits, and participating in special projects. The volunteers are the customer service ambassadors of the medical center.
