Looking for volunteers to lead healthy cooking and nutrition classes for low-income families! This is a great opportunity if you love to cook or have an interest in healthy eating! No professional experience required. Volunteers will receive curriculum guides complete with nutrition lessons and recipes!
"Cooking Matters" is a program of Share Our Strengths and No Kid Hungry. Each course is six weeks long, running once a week for two hours. At the end of each class participants receive a bag of groceries containing the exact ingredients from the lesson. This gives them the opportunity to practice at home and their family an opportunity to taste the healthy meal. Volunteers are recruited for all six classes of the course!
