Are you passionate about science education? Do you want to give back to your local community?Enroll as a Field Educator with The Energy Coalition! Field Educators with The Energy Coalition (TEC) are a dedicated group of volunteers that are passionate about delivering STEM lessons to students. What is a TEC Field Educator? A TEC Field Educator is a volunteer that is trained to implement STEM lessons from TEC's education programs through school site visits. TEC Field Educators are trained in our educational programs which include fun, hands-on STEM lessons and labs for all age groups. Goal of the TEC Field Educator Program: To provide meaningful training and professional development to Field Educators through hands-on field work and mentorship, while delivering STEM lessons to hard-to-reach student populations.
Expectations of the TEC Field Educator Program: Field Educators will complete all necessary program requirements and dedicate volunteer hours to TEC by teaching hands-on STEM lessons. TEC will provide a structured workforce development training and ongoing support for TEC Field Educators as they implement STEM lessons in the field. We offer very flexible scheduling and time commitments. What does a TEC Field Educator receive?
- Access to lessons on the e-learning platform, Schoology
- Online training that covers classroom management and hands-on STEM lesson planning
- Ongoing instructional support from TEC representatives (lesson planning, Schoology troubleshooting, toolkits, etc.)
- Lesson Toolkits *toolkits are provided upon completion of an enrollment form
